Dr Jacobus A. Vlok qualified at the UNIVERSITY OF PRETORIA initially with an MBChB (Baccalareus in Medicine and Surgery) followed by a Master’s degree in Family Medicine and subsequently the Diploma in Occupational Health and Medicine at the same University.

He is registered as a specialist in family medicine with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (MP 0213624) and also as a General Practitioner in the United Kingdom since 2002. (GMC 0945605)

Dr Vlok is an experienced clinician who has had extensive training and hands on experience in general surgery, ear nose and throat-, skin- and gynaecological surgery gained at the Wynberg Hospital in Cape Town and subsequently in private practice in rural South Africa.

A career in aesthetic medicine was inevitable when his surgical and clinical experience was combined with a receptiveness and talent for the fine arts.

He is passionate about medical interventions that genuinely make a difference and therefore procedures and treatments with dubious outcomes are never considered.

Dr Vlok also firmly believes that the qualifications of the practitioner do not necessarily predict the aesthetic outcome but the insight and understanding of proportions and contours, a natural flair for the aesthetics are more important to ensure an optimal treatment result.

No academic training will help a clinician understand what a perfect derrière should look like, or what the optimal quantity of fat to leave behind during lipoplasty should be, or that subtle adjustments can make significant changes to the human silhouette.

DR Helena Antoniadou Plastic Surgeon for Moorgate Aesthetics

Dr Helena Antoniadou is a fully qualified and registered Plastic Surgeon.

She has specialist registration status with the general medical council of great Britain. Her GMC number is 3700956. She has a fellowship of the prestigious European Board of Plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic Surgery.

Dr Antoniadou has also held Consultants posts in the national health service.  From May 2005 until September she was Consultant Plastic Surgeon in the city hospital in Birmingham. Prior to this she was locum Consultant Plastic Surgeon in the world famous Stoke Manderville hospital. Dr Antoniadou also held the same post during 2004 at the Royal Preston Hospital.

Part of her training in plastic surgery was undertaken in the Cannisburn hospital in Glasgow and the St James Hospital in Leeds.

Mr. Jallali studied medicine at Bristol University, qualifying with honours as a result of his outstanding academic achievements. He was awarded the Bristol University Silver medal, the Suple prize in surgery and the Suple prize in medicine as the best student.

He also completed a BSc degree, for which he was awarded First class Honours and the Mary Edith Evans medal as the best student.

Mr. Jallali has over 15 years of experience in Surgery and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2009. He is fully trained and accredited in all aspects of reconstructive and cosmetic Surgery and is on the GMC specialist register.

Mr. Jallali has contributed significantly to plastic surgery literature and has over 30 peer-reviewed publications. He was awarded a Doctor of Medicine (MD) for his pioneering research in tissue-engineering which was carried out in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of technology, Harvard, USA.
